Award winners
  • If you’re an award winner you’ll be notified prior to the ceremony by the International Department.
Graduate Regalia
  • Graduates must arrive between 4:30pm and 5:30pm for registration and gowning.
  • All graduating Kangan Institute students are required to wear academic regalia which will be available on the day of the ceremony. The gown size is determined by your height and is intended to be loose fitting.
  • All graduation gowns and regalia must be returned prior to leaving the event.
Dress code
    • Neat formal.
    • Please wear smart casual attire under your gown (thongs, sandals, t-shirts or casual wear are not acceptable). 
    • Please take into account that the gowns are black and when worn, open at the front and expose the lower arms. Appropriate footwear is a must as you will need to walk up and down stairs. If you would like to wear traditional dress under your gown you are more than welcome to.
    Photography
    • Kangan Institute has employed professional studio photographers to take pictures throughout the event.
    • They will also endeavour to take pictures of all graduands when on stage however we suggest you also have friends and family take photos just in case.
    • These pictures will be available free of charge via a link on our Facebook page in the weeks following the event. 
    • Mak Photos is available to take professional portrait pictures both before and after the ceremony. This will be available before the ceremony from 4:30pm – 5:45pm and after the event from 7pm - 8pm.
