Cremorne Creative Hub
Kangan Institute’s Centre for Fashion and Creative Industries in trendy Cremorne, offers students access to cutting-edge facilities, and real-world experience through our in-house salon, ensuring that our graduates are a cut above the rest.
Students will work with industry leading suppliers, such as L’Oréal Australia, De Lorenzo and Dermalogica, use cutting-edge products, gain real work experience while studying, and prepare models for a range of events, including fashion shows and photo shoots.
STUDENT STYLED RUNWAYS
Our student supported runways leave audiences awe-inspired and provide our hairdressing, beauty, fashion and hospitality students with experience working events on a grand scale.
With an emphasis on sustainable fashion, up-cycling and accessibility, our graduates hit the fashion scene skill equipped, ecologically conscious and ready to change the face of the fashion industry.

COURSES WE OFFER
SALON ASSISTANT >
This course provides the basic knowledge and skills required to work in a hairdressing or beauty salon. Our students gain genuine hands-on experience working with real clients in our on-campus training salon.
HAIRDRESSING >
This qualification is designed to give you the skills and hands-on experience required to work in any top salon as a qualified hairdresser.
BARBERING >
The qualification focuses on the craft of barbering and teaches the traditions of ‘old school’ barbering and specialist urban barbering techniques.
BEAUTY SERVICES >
Our beauty therapy training is developed in consultation with L’Oreal Australia to ensure that our graduates learn skills that are relevant to the needs of employers and clients in the beauty industry.
FASHION DESIGN>
Your ideal career and dream team await you! If you aspire to a career as a Fashion Designer, Textile Designer, Product Developer, Production Manager, Couturier or Fashion Business owner, then this course is for you.
MILLINERY >
In this exciting course you will develop the skills to perform a range of technical and operational tasks within the millinery field. You will learn how to make hats and other headwear such as caps, berets, bonnets, fascinators and bridal headpieces.
